Announcing Winter Hours

From now through about March (will announce when hours change again), Blackbird Attic will have new winter hours. They will be 12pm-5pm Thursday through Sunday. I will be staying late some nights, as I always do, possibly till 7-8pm, and may be open by chance on a "day off", so you can always give the shop a call to see.

Also if you cannot make it to the shop during these hours to shop or drop items off, I am available to come in if you contact me ahead of time. Hopefully this is not too much of an inconvenience to all my loyal customers and consignors!

I will be using the extra day off to work on some shop projects, like the Etsy page.

Thank you and let me know if you have any questions.

Blackbird Attic Again Presents, Love/Hate!

This is our third year putting together Love/Hate, an interactive art show at Blackbird Attic. Think Post Secret, but on a local level. Everyone gets a chance to bare their deepest truest emotions and secrets, whether love or hate, and best of all, it can be completely anonymous.

We have a typewriter available for use at 442 Main Street in Beacon. Letters are also accepted (secretly slid under the door or placed in the box inside) at this location up until Thursday, February 7th.
You can also submit anonymously online here.

Get creative! You can also hand in photos or collages (smaller sizes preferred).

Opening reception will be held at Blackbird Attic 442 Main Street from 5 – 8pm, in which all the letters and art will be unveiled. After the artshow, we will be hosting a dance party at 159 Fishkill Ave, just a few blocks away from Blackbird Attic, to dance the love/hate away. Refreshments will be served at both locations.

Schedule of Events:

5-8pm- View letters at Blackbird Attic,

8pm- Walk over to 159 Fishkill Ave

8:30pm- Our version of "The Dating Game"

Warm Cozy Knits

This time of year, especially in the Northeast, it's nice to curl up in front of the fire place, sipping on hot cocoa (five marshmallows minimum) in a warm, comfy, cozy sweater. Men and women alike have many styles to choose from slouchy and vintage to fitted and modern. One thing is for sure is that patterns and stripes are a must.
