We changed the windows up very simply and affordably for the spring. The hanging birdhouses were $1 each at Joannes. The moss and speckled eggs are from Joannes as well. The baskets were a few dollars at Goodwill, and other than that the birds are made from cardboard/paint and the cut out paper and clouds are made from scrapbook paper from Michaels. I get a lot of inspiration for windows from Anthropologie, but these ones were just kind of thrown together and I really like the simple yet intriguing effect of them. They look better in person, so come see!
This is really late, but I just saw your comment while going through old posts. I usually have a crafty helper.. I'm not as artistic as I'd like to be ; ).
MICHELLE: Settled in Beacon, NY by way of Rochester and Brooklyn. I opened a consignment shop and gallery called Blackbird Attic in April of 2010 and I'm still goin'. I make soap from scratch and try to pretend I am crafty and can dress well, although I hand off a lot of projects to my husband and I'd be okay living in pajamas.
ALLIE: I’m a sucker for a good sale and my credit card limit has seen better days.I love styling and putting outfits together and I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to spend a million to look like a million. You’ll find me most days wandering around my town, sipping a Chai and day dreaming about writing for a living.
